This generation will by now means pass away..."
by Jewel ini haven't been to a meeting (other than some cousins' weddings) for well over twenty years.
i've always wondered what the fds was going to do with the "generations" thing once pretty much everybody who had been alive in 1914 is gone.
i get that they've come up with some "new light" about this topic, but when i ask my mom (who's still in) i only get "well, the new understanding is complicated...".

They were out New years morning, I couldn,t believe it.

First Day of the New Year.
Got my supplements out of my basket that has been in the closet all last year. I am now ready to take my Krill Oil [stink ass stuff] B vitamins [ stinky too] , ...Way to many to mention. Last year I slacked, due to stress and family worries. This year I am taking care of myself. I think I am of an age that can be a tipping piont. It will determain wether I feel good for the rest of my years.
Have my ingrediants to make a Tuscan vegetable soup tomorow. My lemons and feta for a complement.
The sky is beautiful tonight . Clear as a bell. I can not even count all the stars. It's cold and I love my velvety blanket about me.
It will be a good year.......smile.

I lost a good friend yesterday
by zed is dead ini am really going to miss having her as a close friend.
we both helped each other this past year, as we were both dealing with the passing of people we loved.
she was a strong part of my support group.

What did you do with your books?
by mamamo ini was in an used bookstore this weekend and saw a new world translation and some other society publications.
this made me think, what did others do with their books?
i gave mine to my mother, 22 years ago.

All my old books got ruined in my garage when it flooded. They blew up from the water and had mildew. So they were tossed along with many other things. Later my sweet mom helped me get a new JW library. By then I was finished, but still keeping up the Charade . So I tossed out hard cover bound volumes, etc. I did save my NWT with all my angry notes, scratched out verses that were missused. Things I was learning here. This bible was like a journal of my feelings. I also saved a brand new Aid book. I loved that book as a kid. A friend sent me an old paradise book. I'm saving that too. Also a 1974 year book. Thats it.

there is a large percentage of former jehovahs witnesses who came from evangelical or pentecostal backgrounds, before joining the witnesses.
for those who consider that a bad experience, i always suggest ending its control over your life, and take a vacation from religion.

I knew an elder's family that 'bought' a big screen TV when they first came out for their super bowl party at COSTCO.
They returned it after. LOL

Interesting about the Super Bowl Parties, nowwhat?
My family has always had them through out the years .
Last year, I noticed that there was'nt a party at all .
I thought it was very strange at the time, espically becasue our home team was in it.

I love Dex too.
My guess for next season is that Hanna and Dex are going to take each other out in who knows what way. She did bite him and say you should have chosen Me.
Then Deb, that has now killed , but, also knows that so many horrendis murderes get away with it. Well, she is going to have that talking guy teach her the Code. She will continue Dexter's path of taking out the badies while taking to much Xanax, becasue of the guilt of killing LaGuarta ... fade to black. alla Soprano's
